One of the oldest operating distilleries in Scotland – and its most easterly – Glen Garioch (pronounced Geery) has quietly been making its mighty malt in the quaint and historic market town of Oldmeldrum, near Aberdeen in North East Scotland since 1797. Seldom used in blends and not a significant single malt brand in its own right, Glen Garioch remains small and humble.
