The Darroze family preserve the specificities of each Armagnac and not to blend different estates or different vintages. In order not to betray the typical qualities, no ‘reduction’ by the addition of ‘petites eaux’ that not only dilutes the alcoholic strength but also the aromatic intensity and the hints of terroir. The Darroze collection offers a true voyage of taste over the infinite variations of terroirs, of varieties and of ‘savoir-faire’.
【Tasting Notes】
Beautiful gold color, shiny. “Fire” reflections. The aromas candied fruit (apricot, quince), fig jam and fine spices (liquorice, cloves, black pepper) the nose of this complex and subtle Armagnac at the same time. On the palate, the tannins are round and silky. We find this aromatic complexity carried by the spices, the fruit, honey and dried fruits (roasted almonds). Very long in the mouth.
