At the foot of the hill Ben Rinnes lies the Benrinnes Distillery which was built by Peter Mackenzie in 1826. There has only ever been one official bottling of Benrinnes, rarely seen in its own right – a hidden gem of Speyside. The distillery has been destroyed twice in its lifetime, once by flood and once by fire, yet it remains, quietly producing a classic Speyside.
