SCOTLAND CANE & GRAIN 2010 MACDUFF 62.3%

Situated on the coast on the border of the Highland and Speyside region, Macduff is predominantly used for blending – occasionally we see it as a single malt release – Cane and Grain are excited to offer this in a bourbon barrel. The higher strength abv coming from a filling strength of closer to 70%abv, it packs a punch!

Summary – Citrus on the nose, lively and punchy at cask strength, the addition of water introduces cereal notes

Nose: Lemon Sherbet, orange peel

Palate: Lively and vibrant at first, developing into nutty notes with cereal becoming ever-apparent with the addition of water

Aftertaste: Water needed to appreciate light vanilla and hints of spice on the after taste
