Jean Guillot Family
Born into a family of wine growers, owner of Château Bouteilley since 1617, Jean Guillot created the trading business which bears his name in 1953.
Jean Guillot is a 100% family-owned limited company run by Jean Louis Guillot (CEO) and his brother Christophe Guillot (vineyard manager), both sons of Jean.
It has belonged to the Guillot family since 1617.
The property is located on the clay-limestone slopes of Yvrac.
The vinification is carried out in an ultra modern cellar, equipped withstainless steel tanks of a special model (patent of Jean Guillot) allowing a permanent and efficient control of the fermentation temperatures and a good maceration. It was surrounded on three sides by the vines of Château Bouteilley. Also, it was acquired by Mr. Jean Guillot in 1974. It benefits from the same vinification as Château Bouteilley(stainless steel vats).
Located on a superb clay-gravelly plateau bordering the town of Saint Loubés, it was acquired in 1995. The vineyard of Château CAP DE FER enjoys a low frost exposure very favorable to the ripening of its precious grains.
Rented since 1964, by the Jean Guillot family, it is located on clay-gravelly soils remarkably well exposed, and produces exclusively red Bordeaux. Its small production makes it a confidential cuvée.Located 12 kilometers north-east of Bordeaux in the commune of Yvrac, it is made up of clay-limestone soils.
It was acquired in 1988. Mr. Christophe Guillot is responsible for its administration. The vinification is carried out in a modern cellar equipped with stainless steel tanks for efficient temperature control.
