A DECADE IN THE MAKING AND MATURING NICELY

Glasgow Whisky began life in 2007, when Graham Taylor and Stuart Hendry launched the company. With over seventy years service in the industry between us we have been able to put our combined experience to good use in building and developing the company and in 2015 we were joined by Rory Taylor, the first of the next generation. From day one we have built the company on an ethos of heritage, quality, consistency and a passion for the Whisky we produce and ship around the world. Glasgow Whisky blends the feelings of honesty and integrity into all aspects of our business and this is something which customers, suppliers and competitors all recognise. In fact, we’re so proud of what we do, we are happy to put our names to everything. That’s why you’ll notice our email addresses begin - Graham, Stuart, and Rory.

Perhaps the Munros of Scotland are new to you, but the collective title The Munros is used to identify the 282 mountains in Scotland that are over 3,000 feet (914.4 metres) above sea level and, to regular visitors to Scotland, the names Ben Nevis, Ben Lomond, Schiehallion, Buachaille Etive Mòr, Lochnagar conjure thoughts andmemories of the Highlands of Scotland. The title The Munros is named after Sir Hugh T Munro who surveyed and catalogued them in 1891. For experienced walkers, climbing or “bagging” all 282 mountains is a great challenge but the reward of seeing some of Scotland’s finest scenery is very worthwhile.

Due to the small size of the country the influence of the surrounding sea has a major impact on the climate, the farming and the lifestyle. Like the mountains, these Scotch Whiskies bring different characters and styles to the collection. Some are gentle, warm and inviting and some are powerful, rugged and untamed. This is one of the marvels of Single Malt Scotch Whisky, that theregion of Scotland in which the distillery is situated can often impart a uniqueness of style, aroma and flavour – that will bringstrong reactions and emotions from connoisseurs and consumers.

Although we all have our own favourites, it’s hard to prove which of those wonderous myths and legends have actually happened. However, it’s no myth that the Scottish mountains and streams create some of the World’s finest Single Malt Whisky. Maybe a dram or two of one of our spirited Cailleach Malts will help inspire a story in you too.

Sláinte means “ healthy” in Gaelic, which is extensively used when toasting in Scotland. The idea of the brand name was named by the master of the cellar. Sending this blessing to everyone who enjoy this 21YO Sláinte Single Malt Whisky.
