Westward American Single Malt Chardonnay Cask takes our love for wine-fi¬nished whiskeys to legendary new heights with the influence of coveted French Oak casks from Tonnellerie Nadalié in Ludon-Médoc, which are raised to enhance the crisp fruit notes in white wine and are incredibly hard to acquire here in the U.S. This unforgettable expression began its journey just as all our whiskeys do, with malted barley sourced right here from our rich, fertile Pacifi¬c Northwest terroir. Once fermented, distilled, and aged to taste here in the Northwest, this release enjoyed an additional year in these French Oak casks, which previously held Chardonnay for a prized producer in the Russian River Valley, one of the most iconic winemaking regions in the U.S. The result of this delicate finishing process and the influence of the French Oak cask adds brightness, acidity, and an extra layer of complexity, making this a whiskey that endures well after every sip.

OUR INSPIRATION
We’ve enjoyed pushing the boundaries in whiskey, and our experimental wine-fi¬nishes are a testament to this playful but purposeful approach. So when we had the chance to source these ne Russian River Valley Chardonnay barrels from our neighboring state we knew we wanted to explore the great potential that blending these two incredible terroirs might produce.
