The Island Of Jura, home to 200 islanders, one road, one pub and one distillery. Since 1810 this unique island has been producing whisky renowned worldwide. A small island, only 60 miles away from the mainland, yet feels like another world with its ancient landscape and wild terrain. Latour wine cask greatly enhances the typical Jura notes providing an indelible impression, not to be forgotten.
Summary – Bourbon notes are apparent throughout, merging together nicely with the subtle smoke notes
Nose: It could have been a bourbon on the nose - cask finish leads the way, think Buffalo Trace…
Palate: Interestingly complex, bourbon notes initially at cask strength, with those subtle Jura whisps of smoke appearing, then leaving again into a sweet adventure that lingers on the mid-palate
Aftertaste: Enjoyed at cask strength, the finish will continue to tanatlise the mid-palate, with notes of bourbon spice persisting
