Tormore is an unmissable statement distillery on the way into the heart of Speyside – an idyllic welcome to the heart of whisky country. Rarely seen as an official bottling, it is soon to be open to the public due to a recent acquisition… To see a bottling as a single malt is rare, to see it combined with a Latour finish, even more so – excellent with cold meat as a pairing.

Summary – Hazelnut on the nose, developing into an oily adventure, turning into an alluring dark Aftertaste: an adventure on the palate

Nose: Madagascan Vanilla, sweetness upfront, dark citrus, red wine

Palate: Viscous texture, slightly unctuous, thick caramel/ butterscotch 

Aftertaste: Wine cask significantly influences the finish, long sultry notes of dark dried fruit appear and last long, an excellent finish with a drop of water to balance the profile
