Nose: Almost Sherry-like on the nose, dark rich dried fruit, demerara rum surprisingly
Palate: Oily initially, smoke enters the fray then calms down into a deliciously rich taste which tingles the sides of the tongue which is slightly umami – deliciously complex
Aftertaste: Spice at cask strength with the smoky notes evaporating on the finish giving way to a long chewy texture, a high-class bourbon barrel used on the cask finish
