The origin of Tatra tea can be traced far back in Slovak history. Life was hard back then. People treasured every moment of meeting friends. They always cheered together with cup of something good, something strong. Mountain folks used to heal many diseases with their homemade medicine. Boiled water poured over the herbs, added moonshine, spirit, honey, garlic and tallow. Everyone had its own recipe, but they all called it Tea.
【Tasting Notes】
HIBISCUS & RED TEA: Sweet praline flavour with sultana raisins and creme brûlée taste. Ruby Red punch with winter spices aroma, date syrup. FLOWER: If you pay attention, in the grassy taste you will feel traces of linden, acacia and orange blossom on your tongue. However, the dominant feature is elderflower with its sweetish honey flavour. ROSEHIP & SEA BUCKTHORN: You will feel the taste of homemade compote full of raspberries, plums and rose sweets developing on your tongue. The sweet and sour combination is completed by the combination of extracts of sea buckthorn bringing a breath of freshness. APPLE & PEAR: You’ll taste delicious pear, sweet cinnamon apple and a piece of vanilla and tones of sweet caramel. The body of taste is formed from old apple brandy with the freshness of pear cider.
