160 years ago, the family’s first still began distilling a nectar now renowned the world over: Cognac. By the gentle alchemy taking place in the distillery, the precious white wines from the family vineyards were transformed into cognac. As the wines were heated for long hours over a wood fire, they filled the distillery with the sweetest of scents, both complex and enchanting.
【Tasting Notes】
Color : Golden yellow / old gold color, displays a very beautiful amber color orange reflection. Viscosity supported by distinct tears. Nose : Delicate freshness of mint with notes of fresh and candied fruit and a touch of vanilla. The floral character is revealed by fragrances of white flowers, jasmine flowers, linden-tree, honeysuckle and honey Mouth : A delicate wood and rancio participate in this aromatic finesse specific to eaux-de-vie from Champagnes. This cognac gives off also very sweet notes of chocolate, toffee, butterscotch, coffee, vanilla, ginger and liquorice, gingerbread, as well as fragrances of truffles, mild tobacco, cedar wood smooth rancio, the evidence of a long and well-controlled ageing process in oak casks.
